Descripción de Garden Travels - Fancy Ferns Western Hills:
Judith Jones is the Fern Madame in Eastern Washington, a woman with a passion for ferns of every sort. Her vast collection encompasses hardy and tropical ferns including ferns adapted to every situation from woodlands to living rooms and beyond to dry desert adapted ferns. Next in this episode, Dave visits a much-loved garden and nursery reborn in the Sonoma Wine Country: Western Hills Nursery. When Lester Hawkins and Marshal Olbrich decided to move out of the city and build a garden that would become a living catalog for their groundbreaking nursery, they never realized that it would be so popular or start a new trend. Now, their model of garden, production, and sales has been termed the "destination nursery". A place where unusual plants are showcased in a setting that encourages visitors to come from miles away to shop among growing examples of the plants available. In this episode of Garden Travels, Dave's favorites include: Teucrium, Solanum and the Desert Tortoise.
