Descripción de 4 of 4, Saiga 12 Emerges: "Eat Lead" Drill by Nutnfancy:
The new KSG shotgun runs with full "pipes" and we also pit it up against the artillery-heavy but fast shootin' PFIDude modded out Saiga-12 auto shotgun. Which one takes the gold? The vid starts out with me running the KSG with 00 Buckshot in several rounds. It causes a bit of pain and makes accurate hitting more difficult (ever done it?). I have a few embarrassing misses on one run and not having brought enough shotgun ammo, have to transition to my 1911 to clear the course. Just like in real life, things rarely go as planned and you just have to adapt and press on. But with good pistol shootin', that 28 pt KSG run takes that round of runs. That's followed by my unimpressive Win 1300 run where a hostage hit kills my score (details below). Then roll in the PFIDude Saiga-12 tactical shotgun and we see the speed of the runs accelerate. But as we fatigue, the hits are harder to make and it takes real concentration on the fundamentals and some mental toughness to connect (especially with Buckshot) with the longer targets. The Saiga-12 turns in the fastest times with its no-reload drum mag and fast engagements; while heavy it shoots smooth and fast. PFIDude chalks up a fast run with the Saiga but I manage the fastest run of the course with it, throwing down perfect 36 score in the process. Suck it. However it's heavy and big as outfitted and the svelt little KSG dominates it in SAWC. Near the end Chad tries his hand at slug shooting with the KSG and he sucks big time. I have more luck on the 45 yd steel plate. We debrief our observations on the KSG shotgun and it's mostly good. It is ground breaking in its capabilities for its compact form. Lots more laughs ensue as the crew wraps up the "Eat Lead" Drill introduction and thorough tactical testing of the KSG shotgun. Chad was a great fit in the crew and we loved having him out. Making this KelTec event/hosting took an incredible amount of work in logistics, course creation, and editing but it was worth it. In the end, I enjoyed spending time with friends running this fun course, laughing, perfecting some skills, and testing this awesome gear.////////////////Music licensed to TNP from Jason Shaw//////////////// Summary of scoring/results in this Part: Nutnfancy KSG Buckshot/SW 1911 run: 2 shotgun misses (no bonus), perfect pistol stage (earning hard-to-get +5 bonus), no speed bonus= 28 pts at 151.12 secs Nutnfancy Win 1300 Buckshot/SW 1911 run: no shotgun misses (+3), -2 pistol misses (no bonus there), -5 for hostage hit, no speed bonus= 21 pts at 145.12 sec PFIDude Saiga-12/XDM45 run: 1 shotgun miss (-1,no bonus), 2 pistol misses (-2, no bonus), 5 speed bonus= 22 pts at 74.27 Chad KSG/XDM9 run: no shotgun misses ( 3), 5 pistol misses (no bonus, -5), -5 for hostage hit, no speed bonus= 18 pts at 101.22 sec Fastest time of the course, perfect score.
