Descripción de Qari Ziyad Patel - Ayatul Qursi 255-257:
The Ayat al-Kursi - Verse of the Thrown The Ayat al-Kursi is the 255th verse in the second Sura of the Quran. It is titled Verse of the Throne and as is its title makes clear it is described as being the greatest verse in the entire Quran. There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory). Virtues of the Verse: Compared to other verses The ayah is the greatest(Muslim) verse in the Quran and leader of all other verses(Tirmidhi) . The Greatest name of Allah is contained in it Abu Umamah (radiAllahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said that the ismullahi al- a'dham (The Greatest Name of Allah), through which Allah assuredly fulfils people's needs, is contained in three surahs in the Qur'an: al-Baqarah, Al Imran and Taha. Abu Umamah (radiAllahu anhu) says that when he searched for the ismullahi al- a'dham, he found it to be in Ayat al-kursi (2:255); and in Surah Al-Imran (3:2); and in Surah Taha (20:111). (al-Hakim, ibn Majah, at-Tabarani, at-Tahawi, and others) It is the peak of the Quran The messenger of Allah has said "Everything has its peak and the peak of the Quran is Surah al-Baqarah. In it there is an ayah which is the greatest in the Quran: Ayat al-Kursi." (at-Tirmidhi) ******Benefits and Rewards for the Reciter: Entry into Paradise It was narrated that Abu Umamah Al-Bahili (radiAllahu anhu) said: The Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said: "Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi immediately after each prescribed Prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death." (an-Nasa'i, Ibn Hibban, ibn Sunni, at-Tabarani, ibn Hibban - Sahih) [Note: The explanation of this Hadith is that such a person is guaranteed Jannah, Insha Allah. However, this applies as long as that particular person does not commit any major sin without seeking repentance for it. In such a case this guarantee will not apply. ] Allah's Protection Imam Bihaqi States that the one who recites Ayatul Kursi before falling asleep, Allah Tala gives protection to his/her home and his/her Family. (Marqat Sharah Mishkaat, Mulla Ali Qaderi, vol. 2 pp. 583) When you lie down in your bed, recite ayat al-Kursi, Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists [al-Baraqah 2:255] until the end of the ayah, then you will have a protector from Allah and no shaytan (devil) will come near you until morning comes [Sahih al-Bukhari] It's in another Hadis Jinns and Shaitans do not come close to the house in which Ayatul Kursi is recited. (Tirmizi Altargheeb Wal Tarheeb Lilmanzari vol.2 pp.631) Abdullah bin Mas'ud (radiAllahu anhu) narrates that a person said to Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam): "O Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wasalam), teach me something through which Allah I will give me benefit." He said: "Continue reciting Ayatul Kursi. This will be a means of protection for you, your children and even those houses which are near your house." Increased Blessings in Life Hadrat A'isha Radiallah Anha states that a person arrived in the court of Nabi kareem Sallal Laaho Alaihi Wasallam and complained that there is no Barkat (Blessings) in anything in his home. Rasool Allah peace be upon him said, "You do not recite Ayatul Kursi, whichever Food and Curry you will recite Ayatul Kursi on, Allah Tala will give Blessings on that Food and Curry. (Tafseer Dar Manshoor vol. 1 pp. 323) The Messenger of Allah has said: whoever recites the first 4 ayats of Surae Baqarah, then Ayatul Kursi and then the last 3 ayats of Surae Baqarah will not be inflicted with any kind of difficulty in his wealth or himself, Shaitaan will not come near him and he will not forget the Qur'an.
