SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/SubscribeFTV http://www.FTV.com/videos PARIS - It was obvious there was some kind of burlesque, cabaret, or Old Hollywood theme going on with Eric Tibusch's Paris Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Not from the start, where colors ranged from turquoise to gold and purple, but for the last part of the collection---where black, red, and white as well as lace, feathers, and sleek black looks were everywhere and apparently, Tibusch likes to play with movie themes. In Spring 2009, his haute couture was tinged with "Bonnie and Clyde." After that, it was "Orbital" from Stanley Kubrick and "Murder Along The Champs." Ironically, according to the Nowfashion.com review, Tibusch apparently tried to answer the question "What would the ladies of Old Hollywood wear today?" Looking at the collection, which seemed to have a darker theme, FTV wondered if he had reached his goal. But regardless, the line was dipped in looks that would be remembered. Skinny pants, turquoise, silver tassels, kimono skirts, palazzo pants, loose blouses, and more. We're not sure Marilyn Monroe would wear some of these looks today, but they certainly made a statement where we're concerned.
